Okay so I want either Power to change OR Love on my forearm in Japanese...I've wanted it for a LONG time ... I'm 15(16 next month!=]) ...I'll be getting it in the summer
problem is...I don't know what 'Power to change' looks like in Japanese...--(I know what love looks like)-- if you know...give me a link please

yes I have permission from my parents
and yes i have the place picked out ---my older sister had her tatoos done there...and they talk you through everything and clean all the tools infront of you...and explain what everything is used for----
and yes the they tattoo (either one)....will be ver meaningful to me

I don't see why I have to be Japanese to get it...my sister has an egyptian symbol on her...and many MANY other people have tattoos in other languages...and cultures... there's something about getting a tattoo with a little mystery....not everyone will knw what it says...that's what I like
b/c no way am I getting some cartoon character or some odd drawing ...or something written in english...it's just too plain...as well as french

You shouldn't get a tattoo at 16 because you're going to grow still, and when your 25 the tattoo might look stretched depending on how much you grew. Also, I doubt any good tattoo artist would tattoo anyone under 18. I've wanted a tattoo since I was 12 or 13 but I waited till I was 18 just for those reasons. And I knew that getting a tattoo at that age I would probably regret later anyway. I know it seems like a long time now, but trust me it wont feel like it when your done waiting.

Also, don't get a Japanese tattoo, unless you're Japanese it just looks stupid. But if you are, go with 'love', and not 'power to change', thats just too long (and sorry, but its kinda dumb). Good luck anyways

Where do you live? As far as I know there are no reputable places in the states to get a tattoo unless your're 18, parental consent or not. WAIT. And as a few other people have mentioned: do not get an ethic (tribal, japanese, etc.) tattoo unless you belong to that ethnic group. I would be VERY skeptical of anyone who will tattoo someone your age. I would be willing to bet that they are not exactly "above board". Two years to wait is not that long compared to a tattoo which will last you a lifetime.

how can you want something for a long time and you dont even know what it looks like! grow up, are you even japanese?

how mature of you to have to send comments to peoples email instead of just taking the comments people leave you. if you cant seem to handle some criticism on yahoo answers then your in for a rude awakening. dont bother even asking then. for the record i doubt you will find many people who think a flippin 15 year old should be allowed to get a tattoo. if you didnt want peoples opinions perhaps you should just keep your questions to yourself. that my friend is IMATURE, oh and thats right you did feel a need to ask me so theres my answer.

i think taht your to young for a tat. wait 2 more years and it will be worth it. plus most shops don't tattoo people under 18 even with parent consent.

you're too young, respectable tattoo artists will follow the law and not tattoo someone under 18.
