I work in a homemade chocolate store. Chocolate will last more than 6 weeks if stored properly. You keep them at room temperature (about 65 degrees F.) You can freeze them, but be warned... Although, the taste will be the same if you are giving them as gifts freezing is not recommended because once thawed condensation leaves them looking white. In a dry cool place in room temp is best!

It really depends on the type of chocolate and where is is kept. Is it cocoa powder, chocolate morsels, bakers' chocolate??? A good quality chocolate that is unopened and kept in a cool, dry place should last 6 weeks. Just watch for chocolate bloom. In case you don't know what it is, it is a white film on the chocolate. When you see that, it is time to throw it out. Chocolate in my house would never last six weeks. LOL!!!!!!!!

Hi, if you are talking about baking chocolate, then it can last for a few years & be just fine in any receipe. If you are talking about chocolate that is meant to be eaten just as it is, then it should last up to a year if it was purchased fresh. There are so many forms of chocolate that this question is hard to answer, it depends on what form you have.

If chocolate isn't opened and no one eats it then it will last that long. If you have people in your house that crave for chocolate and see it then you're out of luck. It depends on the person or their family usually. It should be stored at 45-50 degrees(Fahrenheit) away from heat.

I am pretty sure it will, put it in a air tight container or a ziploc bag and it should be fine.
