Was Harvin right to take the win from Martin after Martin did so well, led so many laps, and couldn't help what happened at the restart? Martin has raced for 23 years at this track and hasn't won there yet. He deserved to win it. I think that Harvin should have the victory striped from him and given to Martin. I know that is how racing is, but I think it's only fair. What do you think? I never want to see Harvin win anouther race again.

I mean Harvick. Sorry about that.

Technicaly under NASCAR rules Mark Martin should have won the race because he was ahead of Kevin Harvick when that big crash happened behind them, so the race should have ended under caution with Martin being the winner.

Harvick back off and give the win to Martin? First off....MARTIN wouldn't want it that way...I'd go so far as to say that he would have been OFFENDED if Harvick did tank it. Second...Harvick gets paid to win races...not tank them. The suggestion that Harvick should have the victory stripped from him with no more cause than "Martin has never won the Daytona 500" is obsurd. I will admit, however, that it would have been rather interesting to see harvick's car fail post-race inspection...and see how NASCAR handled THAT. I suspect that if Martin has decent runs at the next 4 or 5 tracks, he may reconsider his retirement plans (purely speculation).

Harvick is most likely going to win a few more races. If you don't want to see that happen....I'd suggest you find something else to do with your Sunday afternoon.

NASCAR has gotten so Jr High about everything anymore, ya knew Harvick was gonna win. Line the cars up and wreck the exact same way at the exact same time but put Gordon or Johnson or Jr in Mark's spot...guaranteed yellow the very second there was a puff of smoke! The old school "rubbin is racin" and race to win died with Dale, retired with Elliot, and so on. Now we have to be oh so careful that these new little boys coming in don't muss thier hair!!! Mark is one of the only good ol boys left, and as someone else has already said, in his true southern gentlemanly way, he's not whinin so we shouldn't either. But it was a load of BS! If they are gonna make all these silly nit-picky little rules, make them apply to everyone!!

It just kind of depends who you are a fan of and their is alot of tracks that Martin hasent won a race at and he has also never won a championship and I dotn see that happening anytime soon and he kind of had a chance last year but this year he is only doing a part time schedule so he isnt going to have th opportunity to be in the chase until Regan Smith can take over for him where he left off and he is a rookie in all and some rookies dont get the best of luck on the tracks. I also thought that it was amazing how Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, and a few other drivers all crashed at one point or another during the race today, and I am still kind of upset that Jeff Gordon was involved in that crash on the last lap after Elliott Sadler rammed me into the wall and I understand that he kind of had no where to go but I still finished 12th I guess and I think that is still kind of funny because Elliott Sadler said in an interview that he was kind of surpirsed that they let Jeff Gordon keep the win and Jeff said that he would challenge anyone in the garage who thinks they did it intentionally so I guess thats kind of weird. I wonder how things are going to go next week at California? This is going to be a great year if every race is going to be like this one, every race is great but even more hopefully.

The WIN was NOT taken from him by Hayseed Harvick it was taken by Nascar. Nascar who has decided that rules only apply when they want them to! What happened to frozen field,,,,no racing to line?
There is NO excuse for the caution NOT to have been thrown.
Maybe Martin should have taken a page for Harvick's book,(or one of the other DIRTY drivers in the sport) and just put him into the wall! I bet they would have thrown a caution then!
Mark Martin is a good, clean driver. You will never see the day he stands outside his car, helmet in hand, and blames anyone for his wrecks, losses or shortcomings. He will forever assume all the blame. Unlike his parent company..NASCAR

Should the yellow flag have been thrown? Absolutely! There was a field of cars traveling around 200 MPH and the cars from the 3rd position on back were wrecking. This put most of the field in danger by trying to "race back to the line" (hence the reason NASCAR freezes the field at the yellow).
At 200 MPH, I'm sure there would be no difference if the flag was thrown or not. Lucky no one was hurt racing to the finish line running through the green flag part of the wreak! If a car was going to crash, they were going to crash regardless if the yellow was put out or not. However, this is just another example of NASCAR not consistently applying their own rules.NASCAR is so dang inconsistent, it's upsetting.

In immediately's race? No, there are not. universal, the in trouble-free terms NASCAR sequence that at the moment has a lady driver is CTS...Chrissy Wallace is driving a constrained agenda this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. She did highly properly a pair weeks in the past. The CUP and nationwide sequence' haven't any at the moment driving. bypass Jr.>>>>

The race was awesome. I wish that Jr would have won it however. I also wish that Martin would have won. I did not like the way the race ended. Oh well thats life. It was just a race.

No it wasn't right. they should have parked their cars in the in field just before the finish line, so that the track would be clear for the real champ, James, oh heck, the old guy 72 years old he should have won. I hope when I get that old I'm able to drive 180+ miles an hour and not cause an accident.

The real issue with not throwing the yellow is about the safety crews rolling...they can't move until the yellow flies and cars begin to slow...I'd guess 10 sec or more were lost...and if Boyer's car stayed upside down and on fire...NASCAR would be in hot water....if Mark won by caution...in a short time it would be just another 500 win...the caution factor would have soon been forgotten...but he aint cryin...I guess I shouldn't either.
