not have a boyfriend im 12? my cuzin told me it was really bad and i should be ashamed of myself (im cuzin is a boy) he naggs at me for it and y does he do that

hey, it's not bad at all. Actually, you can have too many too soon and spoil what should be a really great time of your life. When you are ready, you will have a boyfriend & you should not be pushed into having one before you want to. Your cuzin is just a silly tease. Maybe you should tell your parents about the things your cousin is telling you. It does not seem right.

You should have a boyfriend when you feel ready to have one, and when you find someone you like, and someone who likes you.

You shouldn't just get a boyfriend because people tell you to, or because that is what other people are doing.

I think you are still very young at 12. Enjoy your childhood, as you will have the rest of your life to live as an adult.

Plus, I feel you'll be in a better position to understand relationships, the benefits and dangers, when you turn 15 or 16.

No! Your ONLY 12! I dindn't get my first boyfriend till i was in 6th grade and it lasted like a month! Your Cuzin is an ***!Wait till your about 15 to really get serious, you just enjoy your youth and have fun being a kid! Always worring about trying to get a B.F. is No Fun! omg...no offense or anything, but your cousin should be slapped. You're only 12 years old...12 YEARS OLD, think about it. A child (no offense) like you should just be enjoying life as it is right now, making good friends, enjoying your childhood and your move into adolescent-hood, and not be involved in relationships. Good God, you still have the rest of your life to look forward to, a good 70+ years (assuming nothing bad happens, but who knows, this whole life/world is a roulette). You have nothing to be ashamed of, if anyone, it should be your cousin who should be ashamed of himself for even suggesting/nagging you on such a topic like this. You don't need intense drama/depression at your age. Live life as it comes, don't be forced by anyone to do anything you don't want to do.

It's fantastic to not have a boyfriend when you're twelve. There are so many interesting things to learn and do as a young person and once you start to spend a lot of time thinking about boys, it changes your life a lot, and not necessarily for the better. What an idiot don't listen to him. Your 12 you have plenty of time for boyfriends chances are your cousin is very young as well, don't take advice from another kid. There are grown women and men who don't have boyfriends/girlfriends I'm one of them, there is nothing to be ashamed of. You will have one when yoy are ready not when someone tells you you should. I can understand why he is annoyed with you as it shows him you have no respect for yourself if you do what he says.. At 12 you should be concerned with schooling and making the very best grades you can. At 16 you should then think about dating as such because you should have a little sense by then although some people are more mature at a younger age. Tell your cousin he is wrong to nag you as you are far too young.

well that's a tough one. I personally believe that you should wait until your older because you need to find out who YOU are before you can love another for who THEY are. Now you might think you know who you are now, but really, in the next few years, you are going to change alot. No offense but this relationship is probably not gonna last until marriage and if it is meant to, then you two should wait until you are both truly ready to love someone else. Yourself is your most important thing right now. You can do what you wish, but getting involved with boys that early could lead to more "advanced" intimate times and you dont need that yet trust me. Enjoy child hood you dont have very much longer my best friend had a boyfriend when she was 12 and she regrets it really bad now because he wasnt someone she would want to be with NOW that she has matured. Take your time and please take this to heart.
