Next year I will move to Seoul and was thinking about teaching english, but i changed my mind and would like to continue school in a University.. I am an american who knows no korean.

Would it be hard to go to school in Korea?
How does it work for international students?
Are there classes in english??
Which University would most likely be easiest for me (an american)?
Majored in History but never finished, wants to start all over again in Korean studies.. But i plan on living and marrying a korean, what job would I most likely be hired in? (i need to know so I can study in that area)..

Please somebody help me!

Are you sure you're moving to Seoul next year? You can't just get on a plane to Korea and automatically be a citizen! Moving to Korea and attending a university in Korea are different things. You definitely need a passport to travel to Korea for any reason. If you are working, you must already have a job in Korea, and then you will need a working visa. If you are going to school in Korea, then you need a student visa, which you can only get after you've been accepted to a university. Many universities are already taking aplications. It is actually a bit late to be applying! The website I've listed gives an English-speaking school in Korea. If you don't know any Korean, then you won't do well at any university taught in Korean. Typically students who study abroad are attending a university in their home country. If you are already in college, then you should talk to your school's study abroad office and look at the programs that they offer in Korea.

For information about becoming a Korean citizen, you should contact the Korean Embassy in America.

I think you really need to do some research and seriously think about what you are doing. If you were serious about moving to Korea, then why have you not done any research? How can you plan to move somewhere and not even know if you need a passport to go there?

I am not saying this to be critical. I am saying this because moving to a different country can be difficult, and you need to be aware and know as much as you can before you go! It takes time to get a passport, visas, and going through naturalization in other countries. It also takes careful planning and preparations.

Related to the answer above me - American is not a language. English is. I watched countless videos and documentaries online about traveling abroad in South Korea and attending a high school. The programs that allow you to do so require A LOT of money. You would need also your own pass port, a lot of spending money, and would be placed in a strangers family. You can not rent a house and live there unless your parents have enough money to send you the rent, water, heating, and electricity bill because it will be nearly impossible to find a job in South Korea without speaking Korean. I would suggest going through high school and learning more Korean on the side until it is time for college. Go to a college in America and take a major, or minor depending on what you want, in International Studies : Korean. Depending on the college you attend you will most likely be able to study abroad for up to three month, or a year and will be funded partly by the college which you will later reimburse then with college loans. They will, again depending on the college, help with room and boarding, food, and one way air tickets.
