No and the reason being if someone else has been drinking from the same bottle who knows what you end up with and secondly the same goes if you drink first someone else may want a drink. The last reason is that is really is bad manners.

Yeah, but I do not reccomend it. Wine generally needs to breath for the best taste. You should pour it into a wine glass and swish it around the glass a few times for best results.

If it's less than 10 bucks I'll drink anything from the bottle. I have more respect for stuff above that.

I cook with wine, and have to sample as I go. Sometimes I'm even sober enough afterwards to eat what I've cooked. But I have oodles of different glasses to go with different wines. It really does make a difference.
