How long can I keep deli-sliced turkey in the refrigerator before I need to throw it away? What about deli-sliced swiss cheese?

No, there is no use by date. It was sliced at the deli and only has a sell by date.

Well, it's hard to say. I'd say up to 5 days for deli meat. Cheese can last a little longer. n

From my own experience, and rule of thumb is to use sliced turkey or any other deli meats in 4 to 7 days after they been sliced or purchased. Swiss cheese or other cheeses has better shelf live which is 7 to 10 days. Also you can have other factors involved to let cheeses or deli meat to have better shelf life, which is how good is wrapped, and how cold is the refrigerator, that will give you 2 to 4 days more shelf live.

My experience is that deli cut turkey will turn gray and stale when it's ready for the trash.

The cheese will also harden and eventually blue mold will develop.

Do you not have use by dates on the packets? I would only keep the turkey for several days and the cheese I am sure if well wrapped in something like cling wrap or glad wrap for several weeks. I have eaten cheese a month old that has been kept airtight in cling wrap.

Well, a package of meat is cheeper but its cause their not alot there. So, if you want more for your money, deli is better. It also depends on what type of meat you get at the deli.

I would say a week, assuming you've kept it refrigerated. After about 5 days, sniff it before you use it. Yeh, the old schnozz can tell you alot. If it smells at all funky, toss it.
