Does your local mall have one of those crazy little dress up stores for little girls, like Libby Lu? That would be so much fun for you and yoru little one! Another, more tame idea is to go catch a movie together! Neither of those sound fun? How about roller skating or ice skating at a local rink? Laser tag! Soooo much to do with a 5 year old! Have fun!!!

Put on some old sneakers and a rain jacket if its warm enough and go out and play in the rain....
If its not then I would go out with her to get a good dinner at a place that is friendly for children.
Then come home and get all cleaned up and do your hair and nails.

Take some masking tape or painter's tape and make a hopscotch grid on the kitchen floor
Play a board game like Chutes and Ladders or Candyland
Draw, color, or paint together
Read a book out loud to her
Get out all your old hats, shoes, belts, scarves, etc and play dress up.

Take her shopping! Get a new craft to do or some nail polish and rent a movie. Do nails and watch the movie and eat popcorn under a big comfy blanket. Fun!

bake desserts, watch children's programs, rent children videos(like a dora the explorer show) at Blockbuster. Play with play-dough, take a nap, make an authentic chinese dinner for chinese new year. Go to pbs, and other websites and let her play games while you read or even nap. Ask her what she want's to do.
