I am 24 and admit that I live with my parents still...along with my 22, 21, and 19 year old brothers.

My parents went out of town this weekend and of course they all had friends over for a HUGE party and basically treated my familys home like a frat house. They have done this almost everytime my parents are out of town and always get caught becasue someone does something stupid.

I was home for their party, but stayed upstairs and had nothing to do with it...there were kids wrestling, screaming, fighting, spilling, walking in and out of the house, smoking in the garage...and my brothers could care less.

Well my parents came home and totally suspected something and put me on the spot makeing me think they already knew and I spilled the beans because i was already so mad at my brothers for distrecpecting out familys house in the first place. My mom had a "family meeting" and said neighbors told her all of this stuff...even though i know the boys know i told.

Shoud I feel guilty?

There was over 50 people here, the floor was covered in muddy shoe prints, cigarette btts all over the porch, totally obvious.

Plus, I jjust got home today and I put a sign on my door fro no one to go in my room for any reason and i get home and all of my brothers and their friend are in my room watching TV...Likethey didnt care . I was pissed!

My mother was SO mad at the boys she kicked to oldest one out...I agree with her.

It is one thing to be the "cool sister", but when you are dealing with disrespect and responsibility, I think i did the right thing,

Respect is earned and it sounds like they have none. They need to be put in their place. If they were on their own, they'd likely have an eviction notice on their door after that, why is it different for parents? They are disabling them by allowing them to continue this behavior, ESPECIALLY at this age. I'd expect it from a 15 yr old, not a 19/20 yr old.
Too bad.

And yet another reason for young people to MOVE OUT as soon as possible after high school. Go to college, join the military, or get a job and GET OUT.

Their behavior is disrespectful and you should report it to your parents. Your mom and dad ought to kick them out and make them take some responsibility for their lives. And if I were you, I'd be looking to move out on my own too.

You did the right thing. They are totally selfish and utterly disrespectful. They don't deserve your loyalty.
