My daughter is 3 and I dont think she is ready for the movies just yet. The movies usually last about 1hr 1/2 for rated G/PG little kid movies. And I think she would be bored and want to go. She can watch a 25minute Dora show at home but not a movie that long. I guess that depends on the child though, since every child is different. If you know the child pretty good and know how she acts then maybe. And it also depends on your age. If you are old enough to take care of the child in the movies. Good luck.

If your cousin can sit at home and watch a movie for an hour, then it's probably fine. I brought my daughter to a Pooh movie (1 hour) when she was 2 1/2, and she was fine for the first 45 minutes. Then we ran out of popcorn and she was a little restless. I considered it a success. Her 2nd movie was at 3 1/2 and she was great the whole show (Curious George). Just be sure the movie is age-appropriate and find out if she has any issues with scarey parts of movies (lots of kids get easily scared at the movies)

hi. I have taken my youngest to the movies. I think the first movie for her was 6 months as she has older sisters. But ithe age when she really watched it was just before 2. Make sure it is a kiddies movie. My other 2 were around 2/3 years old. Yes we watched happy feet aswell and they loved it. Depends on the child if they watch it at home the will watch at movies. If they think it might be a bit dark, they have babies mornings where you go with your babies and the lights are on but dim. So you can see your kid/cousin.
Good luck

It all depends on the child and the movie. Does the child sit and watch movies at home? Is the movie not only age-appropriate, but engaging?
I would say go for it, my 3 year old does well at the movies, but if they start to get too bored, be prepared to leave. (That's why we like the cheap theaters - 1.99 for a second-run movie)

I took mine at 5 to see Narnia, she was on the edge of her seat!
If your cousin looses interest quickly with movies at home, then their probably not ready for the movies yet. But, take them to a kids flick and see, you can always leave, just might cost you some money.

It all depends on the child. If she is usually good about sitting still and watching movies at home, she'd probably be great in a theater. I have taken my kids from the time they were babies on up.

Three is fine for a kids movie. Doesn't hurt to try. Does she sit and watch whole movies at home? If she can do it at home she can do it at the movies.

Me and my friend have gone with our newborns...
For them to actually enjoy the movie, probably about 2-3, depending on the childs natural attention span, and the movie you're watching.
