A LOT of people are humor-disadvantaged and aren't able to cleverly or skillfully construct something they themselves think of as "funny".

No. I'm Christian, but I find that some others could benefit from taking 5. So, this would not be insulting to those, but if it were said after someone was sincere and patient, then it would be insulting and hurtful.
