Are you retarded? I think you are trying to draw some parallels between these two concepts to try and justify the murder of babies. They are not the same.

I disagree with invetro and fertility drugs but that is another thing.

In vitro ferilization is creating life abortion is killing a life. But one thing that bothers me about in vitro fertilization is that several eggs are fertilized and yet not all those eggs are chosen to be born. They are kept in limbo. Is that a good thing to do? I understand how people would want to have children and all but somehow to me this just doesn't seem right.

Thats like apples and oranges.

One (abortion) is terminating a fetus, the other is creating one(in vitro) to help couples that cant do it without some medical help. I had a friend many years ago that couldnt conceive naturally due to medical condition and so her and her husband (who had fostered some children but wanted one of their own) went through the in vitro program so they could have their own child.

Sorry they are two separate things and cant be compared.

First of all, not all cases requiring IVF are due to female factors. Sometimes MALE factors (such as sperm immobility) require that IVF be performed. So you cannot say that *all* of these women are unnaturally forcing their bodies to have children. Secondly, I believe VERY FIRMLY that if God doesn't want a woman to have a child, she will not. It's simply not possible to resist God's will. We can (and often do) break His commandments -- but there is not a person alive who has ever done something that God didn't permit him or her to do. Further, you must consider the fact that all IVF tries are not successful -- in Canada, the IVF success rate is only 27%; in the US, it's between 27% and 42% depending on the woman's age. Those are not very encouraging figures, especially when you consider that each try costs a MINIMUM of $12,000! These dismal rates certainly support the notion that God has actively prevented some of these women from conceiving. Again, I do not believe it is possible to frustrate God's will, so if some women conceive, this is proof that God has NOT determined they will never give birth.

Abortion is murder. If you leave the aborted tissue in the womb long enough it WILL become a human being(in fact it already is one from the moment to conception). In vitro fertilization is trying to make a life and keep it alive.

The two ladies above don't seem to understand that, in invitro fertilization, quite a few fertilized eggs are discarded. How can people be so generally uniformed...? Hilarious!

They are both immoral. In one case, the mother always intends the death of her child. In the other case, the mother is willing to cause the death of many of her children in order to give birth to one. Very few people seem to realize that approximately 20 newly conceived human beings lose their lives for every one baby born as a result of IVF. For more information on IVF, see:

According to the bible, God is in favor of abortions. He performed a few.

He must be in favor of in-vitro but we don't know for sure.

It COULD be argued that IVF is actually worse than abortion. Most children who are killed through abortion are conceived unintentionally. On the other hand, in IVF, parents INTENTIONALLY conceive children KNOWING that their "extra" children will be "disposed of". How sick is THAT?

In abortion you are taking a life that is not yours to take. In fertilization, you are bringing forth life.
