I'm wondering what you're using to clean your skin with, and if perhaps you could be using something that's too harsh or that's stripping the natural oils from your skin.
Basically when you scrub hard at your skin, or if you use a soap or similar that's too strong, you can strip all the natural oils from the skin. What then happens, is that because we actually need some of those oils to protect us, your body goes into overdrive and creates even more oils because you're stripping them all away.
To try and break this cycle I'd suggest using something like boots skin clear antibacterial wash once a day in the morning say, and then using a simple cleansing wipe in the evening, followed by just good clean water. Make sure you're not using a face cloth or anything that's too abrasive too. Don't exfoliate too often (maybe once a week), and when you do, try a more gentle one - something like oatmeal and apricot is good.
Also, you don't mention if you wear makeup, but if you do, then may I suggest you try avoiding doing so for a few days at least and then perhaps look at your foundation and perhaps move over to something lighter like a tinted moisturiser instead (wearing heavy makeup on skin that's prone to spots and blocked pores tends to make them worse because you're basically clogging the pores with the makeup when you use it). Also if you do ever use a coverup stick (which I wouldn't advise!) make sure you pick one that moisturises and is antibacterial too.
Good luck, I'm sure they'll go away soon!

Proactiv really does work for mild to moderate acne.
If you have serious acne though, cystic acne and also get it on your chest and back as well, or have had scaring, then go to see a dermatologist. They can prescribe Accutane which my son had when he was a teenager. One course of treatment usually CURES acne and the benefits can last a lifetime.
The side effects are minimal and usually are just dry skin and lips. That can be sorted with moisturiser and lip balm.
