Do you live in an apartment or own a home? Get an American Bulldog they are wonderful companians and family oriented like you have no idea. Please don't be discouraged they are NOT cousins to a pit bull. You will find a loving lifelong companion. Just be ready to work, they can be a bit stubborn as a puppy, but wonderful when socialized and loved! (Like all dogs can be!) And with this breed you can, according to bloodline, get the size and looks you want . For exalmple bully and low slung or tall and lean. You can also get them medium sized and giant. Visit www.american-bulldog.net or org. P.S. they are good work dogs but can do anything!!

There are a couple of questions you need to ask yourself. First, can you afford it. Dogs get sick and need preventative care. Maintenance is not cheap. Second, dogs live along time, will you always be there for your pet. Third, Can you provide a loving home. The best place to get a pet is at your local shelter. Mixed dogs are not as sickly as pure breeds. Remember your pet will be part of the family, not to be left out in the cold or heat.

Just answer 10 easy Q and they will give you some breeds, the Q are like the age-amount of grooming-indoor/out door, how good of a watch dog, friendlyness ext!!They will be in order-so a 99 would work better than a 77.....ext.
Plus it from animal planet so you can research the pet and go onto pet finder and adopt a homeless one!Why BYE WHEN ONE WILL DIE?
Good luck

I have a pekingese. He only barks when someone comes to the door. Are you sure you want a long hair though? It is a lot of work.

the only ones i can think of right now are a long-haired weenie dog and a long-haired chichuacha, but if u want to learn of more breeds, then go to a local pet store or humane society and ask about cheap, long-haired, small dogs. hope this helps!

get a beagle there small but if you feed it to much it will get bigger, they are people friendly so they don't bark unless some one rings the door bell, some have longer hair then others but it's kinda short.THEY ARE LOVABLE AND AT A GOOD PRICE.

sorry but there is no such thing as a small dog with long hair that DOESN'T BARK. unless it had problems when born, you are going to have to live with yips and long ratted hair (the dog i meant).

Try a Silky Terriers
They are similar to Yorkshire terriers, buy they are bigger, and have a silky coat. They have less health problems, because they are between 8 and 12 pounds. Yorkshires are smaller than that. They are beautiful dogs.
Good luck
