A Beaglier dog is a beagle and King CavalierSpaniel mix. They are sold in Australia, but I can't find a breeder in the U.S. If you have one of these dogs, how did you find it?

The only type of breeder likely to produce this sort of dog is one that does not care about health testing before breeding or about the welfare of the dogs being bred from. There is no valid reason why these 2 breeds should be mated together. If you want a cross breed, go to your local animal shelter and don't pay pedigree prices for a mongrel.

Apparently the mix craze starts in Australia. That's where all the doodles came from too.

This is the first time (and hopefully the last time) I've heard of a Beaglier. As everyone else has told you, this is a mixed breed dog and the likelihood of you finding a breeder isn't all that high (thank goodness).

This is no offense to you, I'm sure these dogs are really cute and would probably make great pets.

The problem with dogs like this is that someone gives them a cute catchy name and then starts selling a mixed breed dog for lots of money. This dog isn't any different than a Cocker basset mix (which I have a 14 yo). She is a mutt. We like to call her a basset spaniel or cocker basset but she's just a mix. As much as I love her and have for the past 14 years, I'd be heartbroken if someone started breeding these 2 dogs to try and reproduce what I found in a box free to a good home in front of a convenience store all those many years ago. She is a wonderful accident. Just like all the mixed breed dogs at shelters. Go get one of your own and save a life.

Don't pay tons of money for what is, essentially clever marketing.

If you want to, I'll create rename all the dogs at our rescue with clever names and we can jack up the adoption price.

Thanks for considering this opinion.

Not sure I have found a lot of beagles though. They are beagles mixed with a bassette. They are very good with kids just not real easy to train. Almost too smart for own good. The kids really pick on this dog though and never does she get mean.

Well, go to the shelter...they should have plenty! Since there is no breed standard for a mix breed like that, then you'll have a hard time spotting one.....just like if you went to some idiot who is breeding these two dogs together....not one of the pups would look the same. There is no reason to own one...no reason to buy one from the idiot breeding them....save one from the shelter.

Its not a "Beaglier"....its a Beagle/ Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix.

Call your local puppy mill. If they haven't been shut down due to health violations and animal abuse, they might have one.
