Excellent point. Somehow it's become a popular practice to tack the words, "in Jesus' name" onto the end of prayers as though the phrase itself carries some supernatural power. If you aren't praying according to His will, it won't sanctify your prayer to rubber stamp it with those three words.

What in the world are you talking about? Please don't tell me that you are worried about whether they say Yeshua or Jesus. Yeshua is Hebrew, and yes, Jesus' name in Hebrew. Jesus is simply the translation in English or Spanish. It is still the same. It's not like translating love into hate or evil into good. Don't be so petty! Are you a Christian? What do you think Jesus would be concerned with right now? Help to harvest some souls instead of condemning people of petty things that aren't even an issue!

I could not pray anymore - if I had to actually be good, and follow Jesus, before I could pray. Maybe I could ask a priest or nun to pray for people I'm concerned about?
Someday I hope humanity reaches this goal, actually.

That's a dangerous game to be played too, remember this story?
"Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified."
These guys got beaten up and tossed naked into the street for doing it, not by Jesus but by the evil spirits themselves!

Matthew 6:9 Jesus said: "you should pray this way"
"Our father which art in heaven hollowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temtation but deliver us from evil.
the gest of this is pray to the father, ask for his rulership over the earth. You can pray for food for the day. Ask for forgiveness.
Ask to not be fooled by the devil into sinning.
then in another spot he says "what ever you ask in my name God hears you." So ask it in the name of Jesus Christ.
When you pray this way I am sure Jesus knows who you mean.

Whose prayers is God willing to hear?
Ps. 65:2; Acts 10:34, 35: “O Hearer of prayer, even to you people of all flesh will come.” “God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.” (One’s nationality, the color of one’s skin, or one’s economic circumstances have no bearing on the matter. But the motivations of one’s heart and one’s way of life do.)
Luke 11:2: “Whenever you pray, say, ‘Father, let your name be sanctified.’” (Are your prayers addressed to the Father, the one whose name the Bible says is Jehovah? Or, instead, do you address your prayers to “saints”?)
John 14:6, 14: “Jesus said to him: ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.’” (Do you pray in the name of Jesus Christ, recognizing that as a sinful human you need his intercession on your behalf?)
1Â John 5:14: “This is the confidence that we have toward him, that, no matter what it is that we ask according to his will, he hears us.” (To have such confidence, however, you must first know God’s will. Then be sure that your requests are in harmony with it.)
1Â Pet. 3:12: “The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their supplication; but the face of Jehovah is against those doing bad things.” (Have you taken time to learn what Jehovah says through his Word as to what is righteous and what is bad?)
1Â John 3:22: “Whatever we ask we receive from him, because we are observing his commandments and are doing the things that are pleasing in his eyes.” (Is it truly your desire to be pleasing to God, and are you earnestly endeavoring to obey those of his commandments that you already know?)
Isa. 55:6, 7: “Search for Jehovah, you people, while he may be found. Call to him while he proves to be near. Let the wicked man leave his way, and the harmful man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way.” (Mercifully, Jehovah invites even persons who have done bad things to call to him in prayer. But, to have God’s approval, they must sincerely repent of their wrong ways and thoughts and change their course.)
