Your sister needs a wake up call and pressing charges is just the kind that would wake her up. This action is necessary and if you are worried that you could be hurting her or your relationship, think about the way she may have looked while stealing from you not once but twice, then by all means PRESS CHARGES!!! She certainly didn't think about you or her relationship with you before she took what was yours. Maybe this would stop her from doing it to someone else. She's going to get jacked up out in the world if she keeps doing things like that. And she would deserve that too.

Press charges it will only get worse. My sister stole all my clothes after my dad put her out she was 15 and I was 25 now I am in my 30's. I got the majority of my clothes back but not my expensive lotion. So fast forward to a few months ago she pulled a knife on me while I was seven months pregnant and staying with my dad until my husband found a place. I didn't press charges even after that, then a month ago she saw my 14 year old son in a store and she starts harassing him and guess what the security in the store tackled her to the ground had her face down and handcuffed her hands behind her back. Press charges she thinks that she can get away with being a thief if she steals from her family. She is a miserable wicked person and deserves to be arrested and handcuffed. Unless you want her to take more and more. And she has your ID what is she doing using your identity to commit crimes. You need to report this ASAP before she does something in your name and you have a warrant out for your arrest.

If your sister is stealing from you then she may be stealing from others. Your parents need to know about this before she steals from someone who will call the police and press charges. If that happens then your parents may have little influence over what happens next. If your parents won't play ball then file a police report yourself. Someone who is an adult needs to step in before your sister gets into real trouble. This is for the good of your sister and ultimately you and your family too.

Once you press charges you can't go back and renege. Think about it thoroughly before you press charges. You probably will loose family members in the process. I do agree that something needs to be done about it though. Tough question to answer. It would have to be your decision ultimately.

My older brother used to steal from my mother all of the time. She didn't used to press charges so he kept saying sorry then he would do it again. Then she started pressing charges and he eventually stopped. I think that you should press charges to show her that you are not going to sit back and let her take advantage of you. It's the best for her because if you would steal from your own sister you would probably steal from others and they might not be as nice.

I would press charges. You have to stick up for yourself. If you don't she will continue to steal from you marking you as an easy target. There's nothing wrong with pressing charges against a family member for stealing from you. There is something wrong with a family member who steals from you. She needs help because it's only going to get worse unless someone stops her now.

I think you should press charges she has a problem and as long as you enable her by letting her get away with these things she is going to keep doing it. If you love her you will turn her in and let her get some help

As long as she keeps getting away with it, she'll continue to do it. Press the charges and get her the help she needs.
