I mean, you find questions such as "Does God exist?", "Do you have a proof that God exists?", "Do you have a proof that evolution is correct?", "Will they go to hell?", "Can you prove that (Christianity, Islam or Judaism etc.) is THE religion?"
These are only some samples. I got sick of this, nobody out there knows much about this no matter what a religious book say. You believe God exists fine, that's up to you, and you needn't make statements to prove His existence, just believe! Because you won't change people's minds. You don't believe? Fine! Don't ask for proofs, because it's a matter of faith. End of story!

People are curious of other peoples opinions. It's natural. I'm an atheist but I like talking to religious people and I love the history of religion. I don't believe that a bearded fellow - or even an essence of being - has the power to change the laws of physics, but that doesn't mean I can't see the large role religion has played it bringing us where we are today. And I'm curious for other people to tell me their story. If you're sick of the questions, don't read them. Go and dig in the garden, or read a good book.

Sounds like you are just tired of people questioning religion. As long as their is religious freedom without fear of persecution, people will always question it. Mostly those who want proof are asking another to conform to what they believe. If one can't prove their theory of religion then they feel that makes their theory of religion more viable. One of the benefits to all this questioning of beliefs is that it gives people thousands of ways to have or not have a relationship with God.
It's not a matter of faith because faith teaches us NOT to question. It a matter of belief. Humans are given free will and that enables them to believe whatever they want to believe and therefore they'll be driven to question anything that's different than their particular belief system.
Which is why you posted this question.

This entire question is one giant cop-out.
Sure, your religion is a matter of faith, but if your religious beliefs make such extraordinary claims, wouldn't you WANT them investigated? Wouldn't a careful investigation of their veracity be just the thing to vindicate your faith?
If it's a 'matter of faith', then why do you believe? Why do you hold onto beliefs that you KNOW can't be proven? What's rational about that?

I agree, it gets old.
When people post those kind of questions, I think that deep down inside they are questioning their own beliefs. But, they don't want to admit it to themselves. What they are looking for is people to respond and agree with them and make them feel better about whatever it is they believe.
Notice, typically someone who posts such a question will choose a best answer that agrees with them. Thus, the weren't really asking a question so much as looking for affirmation.

There is no proof of the existance of God. Believing is not in the mind it is in the heart.

The purpose of this site is to help each other answer legitimate questions of any kind. If you are looking for pure entertainment to fit your tastes, maybe this is not the place to look for it. If you need outside help to keep you amused, maybe there are other things you could be doing with your brain. Good luck finding what you are looking for.

Nobody's forcing you to be here, dude. You contribute how you want, and never mind what others do, it's really none of your business what kind of questions other people ask.
You have no right to tell anyone else what they should or should not post, end of story!

you know what i realized is that people are gonna believe how they want to believe and it is best to leave them to their own train of thought anyway some people are more open minded then others but if you are dealing with a fundamentalist or evangelical of any kind it just is what it is as they are the worst of the worst

I'm not sick of them. People here ask to see others opinions and to see if others agree or disagree. I agree though with all the "does God exist" and all that crap but I truly believe he does and if others want to know my opinion I'm not afraid to just answer they're questions.
I AGREE WITH CURIOUS_ONE. ;-)

people are just curious and want to know what others think. it's nice to discuss religious beliefs when people don't get offended or feel like their belief system is being threatened. some people just need answers to keep on believing.
