I am planning to go skiing tomorrow on Presidents Day. I was wondering, hat are peak (holiday) pricing periods??? I am asking this because these peak pricing periods are during president's day weekend. So I'm not sure what this means. I appreciate your help.

It means you are not going to get a discount. You will pay the highest prices.

Lift ticket prices themselves will be the same, except if a resort has higher prices for weekends as opposed to weekdays, you will be paying weekend rates on the holiday. However, where you will get dinged is in the hotel room...demand drives room prices.

I don't know of any ski area that jacks it's normal weekend price for holidays...although I suppose anything is possible.

Well, it's presidents day anyways now...did you enjoy yourself??

I've been told that President's Day weekend is the busiest weekend at the ski sloes all year long. Kind of like the "Black Friday" of skiing. (Day after Thanksgiving for shopping.) By the way, for all readers, this is in the U.S.

Most ski areas get the highest volume of customers around this time of year (and Christmas time) because schools have vacation now. So they charge more.
