I've seen Christians say things like this in news reports about tornados and other natural disasters. They thank God that it didn't cause even more harm. Doesn't it ever occur to them that God shouldn't have created the tornado in the first place.

I'm embarrassed for them. If only they could see how stupid they sound to others of less humble mental means. Doesn't it also occur to them that natural disasters affect people equally across the whole belief spectrum? Statistically it is just as likely for an Atheist to be 'saved' or 'spared' as a christian. How do they rationalize that? Idiots!

You go to school starting in kindergarden...you work through learning numbers, spelling, writing, etc. You then progress and work you way all the way up to high school if not college.

What is the grander picture for all this work? A better job, better house, better life, right?

Same with God. Just cause we claim something is bad or wrong or shouldn't happen.....doesn't mean it is. This is cause we can't see the larger picture. We only see bits and pieces of it and we can't make heads or tails of it.

So all one can do is be thankful that it wasn't more violent, as it easily could of been.
