Israel is backed by the Israeli lobby in Washington. Israel want to keep occupying land that was never part of Israel. The Iraq war and the next war with Iran is for the same reason to keep occupying that land. The holy land or the old world is not the west where you can come and colonize other ppl land. There is not one single country in the world including the USA recognize that the land which is occupied can be part of Israel not one country.

If I were Arab or Palestinian, I would probably be virulently anti-Israel.

Fortunately, I have perspective on my side. Although I wish Israel could find some other way of protecting itself, it seems like what it does is effective. If you are being terrorized, and you build a wall that keeps the terrorists out, that's hard to argue with.

Similarly, whenever Israel makes a concession in the hopes of gaining goodwill and promoting peace, the enemy sees it as weakness on the part of Israel. You can actually read their reaction in newspapers. They think THEY FORCED Israel to concede these things, and that if they cause Israel more trouble, they will have to give up even more.

Thirdly, there was never in history a nation called Palestine. All the rich Arab nations could fulfill what they keep extolling as the virtues of their religion and show some generosity to the Palestinians by creating a new land for them, but no. Palestinians are just used as tools by the Arabs to promote their agenda.

Will Israel give up its occupation policy? Not until the Palestinians realize that when Israel gives something up, it is not a sign of weakness. Until then, any concessions Israel makes would simply invite more terrorism.

The problem is not Rice or Israeli. They have already said they will give the land back if they will recognize the rest of Israel as a country as 95% of the world and the U.N. has. They will not recognize Israel as a country. Also they got that land and alot more which they already gave back after the three day war in which all those countrys tried to wipe israel out of exsistance.
Maybe as reperations for the thousand of people they killed they should let Israel keep that small track of land.

Rice should convince the Israelis to return the land that are supposed to be occupied by Palestinians so that the problem in the Middle East will be resolved and terrorism wil stop.

Palistinians never had the land, they are rejects from Syria,Lebannon and other countries and the thugs thought they could take over Israel.I commend Israel for not being bullied and fighting back when they are continually attacked.

Better chance of that than of Hamas accepting the right of Israel to exist even in its pre-1967 borders.

It is their land. It has been their land long ago in history and is their land now after WW2. And they are willing to make peace with the Palestinians, the problem is that the Palestinians always screws up the peace plan by suicide attacks.
