school usually starts as 8 or 7 am
lunch is surved usually by the school in a big cafeteria or brought home from home
school ends at 3-4pm.
but for 1st grade, it ended at 12 or 1

there is a " ban" or room, that you stay in for the whole day except PE classes and the teacher comes in
Pe classes are seperated in to girl's and boys
the classes you take change everyday. for example, you might have history monday and art on tuesday

class in korea that are not in US:
do-duk, which can be roughly translated to culture-you learn manners, and the "right thing to do" in it
music classes-usually, everyone plays the same instrument-like a recorder- unlike in us band/orchestra classes
students clean up their classroom and sometimes the bathrooms themselves...

when i went to school in korea, we got milk everyday... but that might just be my school

and there is " ban-jang" and "boo-ban-jang" they are the leaders of the class. usually the one who helps the teachers, lead the pledges...
these students are usually the smartest ones in the class
when the teacher comes in, it is usual for these class leaders to lead the class in formally greeting the teacher

there are about 60 usually students in one class
but that might have changed, due to the american influence and time...

english is a mandatory language class

there are tests to get into elite schools, elementary, middle and high school. not mentioning college. there are even some for some kindergardens
kindergardens are seperate from elementary schools

when the school ends, it's not day over the students. most of them go to classes, also before school to prep. many students leave home before it's light in the morning and come back at 12 am.

sorry for the long answer. some might be outdated, since the last time i went to school in korea was about 8 years ago.

Well from what I know, I haven't gone to school in Korea but my cousins do.

The school day starts around 7-8am, and classes are about an hr to 2 hrs long. Students stay in one classroom the entire time, the teachers are the ones who cycle from classroom to classrom.

Lunch is about an hr and a half long, some places are an hr, I think. Most students bring packed lunches from home, or they can go home for lunch if their house is close to the school. There are school lunches as well, which mothers can come and serve.

School ends around 4-5pm. However, a lot of the students stay behind for study/tutoring hours so it may as well end at 8-9pm. Therefore, a lot of students stay for dinner and eat dinner at school or go home for dinner and come back for studying.

Hope that helps!
