Who is the head of the Muslims in America? In the world?

Question

If you know the different leaders, please let me know.
I know there are Sunni and Shiah and the group in Saudi Arabia.
How does the hierarchy work?
Is there a leader?
Who interprets the Koran? What is the official Koran? What company? If I want to buy one, which one should I buy?

you have no idea what u have asked....
OK.. sunnis don't have any living leader, they are following 4 school of thoughts generated around 200 to 300 years after the death of Prophet. hence they have 4 leaders, passed away long time ago... They decide there problems through Quran, traditions of Prophet and teachings of those 4 leaders.

Shias have only 12 Leaders, the last 12th one will arrive just before Jesus. now a days they have there Ayat Ullahs (they give rulings according to Quran and traditions of Prophet).. and they are many of them ,, they only come from Iran or Iraq after 12 years os study.. supreme spritual leader working as a sub ordinate of 12th Leader is Khamenai in Iran and seestani in Iraq.

Whabis the saudia group, they have no living leader.. they r following the teaching of a scholar Ibn Taymiyya (1263–1328).

OK. these 3 groups interpret the Quran according to Traditions of Prophet or looking at what he (pbuh) did in different situations in history.
Really good Interpretation of Quran is done on both sunni shia sides. there are many and don't know any in english. Official Quran is in Arabic and I don't think of any recommended company but translation done by Pickthal is very famous.
Only wahabis take verses of Quran literally thats y u will see alot of problems created by them now a days.

Well, there isn't any leader of Muslims in America. You can say community mosque imam but not leader. The quran was already interpreted before. And you can get a free quran from your nearest mosque or on line.

- Muslims are devided to sunna (90% of muslims) ,shi'a (8%) and others (2%) .. all groups other than sunna are islamic offshot.
- there are muslims scholars, and everyone is specialized in certain branch of islam.
- Scholars who are specialized in interpreting Qur'an.
- There is only one version of Qur'an for all muslims on the face of the earth. it's in arabic language. you can fing the diffrent translations here
