That would depend on how long he is in there? Do you leave him in there for 2 or 3 hours? If so then yes you are. If it's only while you clean up a bit then no you are not.

It's easier to clean a little bit at a time. Wait till the child is down for a nap or in bed for the night to major clean up jobs.

I know it is easier said than done.

No you are not neglecting him, in fact you are teaching him a valuable skill and that's independent play. All kids (even infants) need to learn how to play by themselves sometimes. As long as you are not ignoring him when he's had enough then that's ok.

Plus housekeeping is not more important than your child, but there are some things that a mother just NEEDS to do...whether it be tidying up or showering...so don't feel guilty

You have to get stuff done so no you are not neglecting him. As long as hes not in there for hours and hours with nothing to play with. The chick that was talking bout baby jail and housework is the last thing on your list is an idiotic dreamer who lives in another world from the rest of us

No, you're not neglecting him. It's actually really good for him to learn to entertain himself and not have you there constantly playing with him. It's also important for him to learn that you have other responsibilities. Good luck!

No your not neglecting your child if you are taking him out if he cries... i would wait to clean though till your son takes his nap. It might be easier on both of you. But no your not neglecting him.. atleast you are watching him and not making him cry...

No.

He'll be fine.

That is not neglect, just common sense.

You need clean floors to avoid him being exposed to yukky bacteria.

No, you need to do things in your house. Mkae sure he has toys and don;t leave him longer than an hour or 2 without interacting with him or checking on him. He needs to learn to paly by himself

Hardly. In fact you're caring for him by keeping your house clean. :)
