No MOS in the Marines is going to guarantee you a job in civilian life. Best bet - computers - anything with computers.

Any job in the Marines will prepare you to get a job in the civillian sector. Please dont take advice from those that are not Marines, especially those that say they know someone in the Marines. The Marine Corps will prepare you for anything that lies ahead. You will be prepared to handle a number of different skills and be able to employ them efficiently. However if you are looking for a specific MOS that will most definately allow you to excell quicker than others is small computer tech (4066). There is no other skilled MOS that moves up faster than that. At least that ive seen. But if you cant get it, dont be discouraged. Contact me for more info if you are serious about the Marines.

Do you plan to get a degree at some point? A job is one thing but a solid, in-demand career is another. Degreed engineers with experience in any aspect of rocketry, fuel systems, hydraulics, aviation and related software seem to be in pretty high demand in the Huntsville, AL market. This is home to Redstone Arsenal, Army rocket programs, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and more. Former military personnel with experience in the field and a degree in their hip pocket seem to be on the top of the hiring list for obvious reasons.

Go for any technical MOS. One that you can easily transfer into a civilian job. Really not much call for professional snipers.
