first, did you join anything that would entitle you to a winning?
if no, it's fake. and if they are asking for some money from yout o facilitate the delivery of the huge money, think a thousand times. it's a scam. don't reply. delete the email. and read more about nigerian scams on snopes.com
go to http://merit.blogg.se/allmnt.html and search for foundazion di vittorio in the site and you'll see that you're not the only recipient of the USD2.5M prize.

Be sure it's a fake, also because it's mispelled.
The Fondazione Di Vittorio is a sort of political association and I'm afraid they don't give money at all. Anyway, if you want to be sure, ask them:
