Grace refers to the kindness of God toward the undeserving, (that's you and i) God's mercy has as its focus our helplessness or our suffering, but God's grace focuses on our unworthiness.
God's grace is abundant, and it never runs out. The amount of God's grace is always greater than the depth of our sin. Paul tells us that grace multiplied where sin increased (Romans 5:20). We can be confident that it is always sufficient for us. salvation is a work of grace.

Grace means you don't have to work for it. For example Salvation is a free gift from the grace of God. All you have to do is express non-meritorious faith in Jesus Christ that He paid the penalty for your sins on the cross and you are automatically imputed with God's very own perfect righteousness. With this you are then qualified to live with God forever in eternity. Religion on the other hand forces you to accept the false premise that you can work for your salvation by doing good deeds or works to gain the approbation of God. God only accepts faith however. Read Isaiah 64:6 and you will understand what I'm saying here.

In my scriptures I have a section labeled "Bible Dictionary". Let me copy out "Grace". It's long, but read through it.

Grace. A word that occurs frequently in the New Testament, especially in the writings of Paul. The main idea of the word is divine means of help or strength, given through the bounteous mercy and love of Jesus Christ.
It is through the grace of the Lord Jesus, made possible by his atoning sacrifice, that mankind will be raised in immortality, every person receiving his body from the grave in a condition of everlasting life. It is likewise through the grace of the Lord that individuals, through faith in the atonement of Jesus Christ and repentance of their sins, receive strength and assistance to do good works that they otherwise would not be able to maintain if left to their own means. This grace is an enabling power that allows men and women to lay hold on eternal life and exaltation after they have expanded their own best efforts.
Divine grace is needed by every soul in consequence of the fall of Adam and also because of man's weaknesses and shortcomings. However, grace cannot suffice without total effort on the part of the recipient. "It is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do." It is truly the grace of Jesus Christ that makes salvation possible. This principle is expressed in Jesus' parable of the vine and the branches (John 15:1-11). See also John 1:12-17; Eph. 2:8-9; Philip 4:13.

It is often said "Grace" stands for unmerited favour. As an example God's Word tells us "For it is by grace we are saved through faith and Not that of ourselves" in other words salvation is a free gift from God, we can't earn it and we don't deserve it He gives it to us if we demonstrate the faith to believe in Christ as our Saviour. Another passage tells us "though we were yet sinners Christ died for our sins" and another is "Christ came into the world not to condemn it but that the world through Him might be saved". Those kind of sum it up, hope you have accepted the Lord and have inherited Eternal Life. Cheers!

You have asked the most important question I think, ever asked on yahoo answers.

In the bible there are some truly awesome examples.

One of them is the night Jesus is telling his disciples that he is going to the cross.

As he sits with them eating he turns to them and says "Until now I have called you my disciples but now I call you my friends. For there is no greater gift than to lay down ones life for ones friend."

You have heard of the adulterous woman? They caught the woman in adultery and the law stated that the woman should be killed by stoning. "Jesus sat writing on the ground (Some say he was writing the sins of the crowd but this cannot be known for sure) and they brought the woman to Him and said "The law says this woman should be stoned."

Jesus sat silent writing on the ground and then looked up and said "He who is without sin be the first to cast the first stone."

They were stunned by his brilliant answer and left the area.

The woman looked at Jesus and Jesus said "Woman where are your accusers"

They had left and Jesus said "Neither do I condemn you".

And Jesus talked to prostitutes, traitors of Israel (Tax collectors), and such.

They asked him "Why are you with these people"

Jesus said "The well are in no need of a doctor but the sick are."

The last analogy of grace was if you and I were brothers. We are driving down the street and we are parked at a light.

A guy runs up to you (you're driving) and puts a gun to your head.

I leap out and start fighting with him and I beg you to just drive away so you won't get hurt.

You drive away and as you do I get killed but you live. I do this for you because you are my brother and I love you.

There is no judgement in Jesus. Those would be offended by Him either do not understand him or are evil themselves.

How could people be offended for such a person that did such things for us?

It's a gift.

Eph 2:4-8 tells us that "God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" KJV

There is no task you must perform, trek you must make, ritual you must perform or feat you must accomplish. You must simply come to God as a child would, in faith, and leave the rest to God.

By grace alone we are saved... The grace of god refers to the concept that no matter what we do, no matter how bad, god will forgive us our sins and take us into heaven. It's essentially unmerited favour.

It is through the Grace of GOD sending HIS Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins that HIS Grace is best exemplified.

There is no problem that won't be fixed, naturally. That is by the grace of God.
