Italian seasoning consists of several basic herbs, oregano,thyme,marjoram,rosemary,sage. basil and oregano are the strongest herbs in that group. If you have these herbs separately, use what you have. Fresh basil is such a nice herb, you could probably use that alone with garlic. Enjoy!

Italian seasoning is just a mixture of dried basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, marjoram and sage. A combination of all of those or just a few would work.

It's usually rosemary, oregano, basil, parsley, maybe a little garlic or pepper.
Try an herb or two, garlic, and black pepper. A little crushed red pepper if you like.

for me, basil,oregano and garlic. sometimes italian seasoning has rosemary in it and i don't think it goes well with the rest.
