Windows Media Player Mono Play?

Question

Anyone out there know how to make Windows Media Player (the newest one) play in mono because i have broken my speakers and it is only playing one side of the sound and i was wondering if there was a way to make it play in mono instead of in stereo???
I have already tried changing the balance in the graphic equalizer section and it didnt haelp.

you need to go into your sound card and change it there, eg i have an ac 97 sound card so i go to control panel and click on sound effect manager and you can change it in there, if you have soundmax just click on soundmax
