I don't think anything is wrong with it. I've been called it plenty of times and have never been offended. There are just some people who get offended by every little thing. You can give them a compliment and they find something wrong with it.

Not at all, it depends on the connotation of the word. It would be awkward if you would approach a [black] stranger and say "Hey, what's up brown sugar..", but as you gradually get comfortable with a black woman it seems exceptable.

well i don't take it in offense bc i know that you don't mean any harm behind it...but considering i cant speak for all black women i wouldn't call every black woman "brown sugar"...its kinda like myself going around and calling every white boy white chocolate.....people hate to be characterized as something their not......so weather u mean harm or not just try to refrain from using it....or at least get permission.....

Jeeeeez, people, relax. You either find it offensive or don't. No need to report anyone for racism. I personally don't find it offensive if it's someone I know.

I don't think you should categorize all Black women as brown sugar . . . all of us aren't. Please get to know a person and observe their behaviour before referring to them as "Brown Sugar."

It's extremely offensive. Consider yourself reported for racism.

Do you call Asian women "Splenda"? What do you call white women? Is it ok to call you "idiot" as a term of endearment?
