A puppy, probly not, they have a lot of needs and trainig and ext.Plus to socialize it enough you would have to make alot of time for it!Some poeple can handle this though-by getting up 2 hours earlier and not spending as much time with friends! While other poeple,it would go straight to thier heads and thats why there are so many pups in the puond and on the street! You would have to be EXTREEMLY commited!
A Dog,Possible!Dogs are uassuly trained and have less needs-so the wont need hours and hours to be spent with! But saddly most poeple adopt puppys leaving dogs to be put to sleep, you would be helping a dog with only a few days left who will spend them lonly on hard cold concreet!
So i hope this helps-good luck!

I felt the same way when I was thinking about getting a dog. I just moved into a new house, I was in school, doing my practicum, and working a part-time job. It was a lot, but it was worth it. Luckily I had my father-in-law take the dog out aroudn eleven every day. If any thing I would suggest you get a dog that is a bit older, not a puppy. Puppies take a lot of time to train and unless you are going to be able to spend time with it I don't think that it's smart to get a puppy.
If your heart is still set on getting a pet then definitly go with an older dog, one that is trained. There are a lot of shelters that you can go to and be able to take the dogs out and spend time with them. Go to petfinders.org. Its a great website to search for pets and local shelters.
Good luck with your search!

it all depends how old you are. if you are still in elementary or middle school, you might have to ask your parents you would have to do your homework before the puppy or promise to play with the puppy a little then do homework you wouldn't be able to stay home from school to take care of it so there is a problem. you would have to choose whether to play with yor puppy or your frinds it is your choice

Thats totally up to you. Puppies need attention. I you dont have time to allow for a pup dont get one. Kids have had pups for years and have had school and homework. You dont have to give up friends but you may have to reduce that time for puppy time. Theres playtime, training, feeding, cleanup and general petting time. Its up to you no one else

You really have to be committed to a dog especially depending on the breed. A dog really consumes your life and you don't want to get one when you can't give it all your attention. My jack russell has so much energy that I spend every free second with her...even if that means not going out every friday night.

You'd have to WANT to make time for it. If you feel you can't then do not get a puppy, they are like babies, they need to go to the bathroom like every 30 min. and during the night too, for the first few weeks, until their bladder matures. They need lots of playtime and love, and to be trained.

No. The responsibility would get old, and then your parents would be stuck taking care of the dog....then they would probably take it to the pound. Don't get a pup right now.
