but i dont believe in god.. i know it sounds ridiculous, how could that be, but its true.. and maybe one day ill find/believe that, but i would still like to try to spread the words that jesus spoke about how we should live our lives and treat others (what i believe to be his most powerful message.. its something anyone can take away from the bible, and i think its even more powerful if one can take it to heart without feeling it is necessary)..

is there any denomination/faith that believes this? is what i believe atheism or agnostic (not exactly sure of the difference)? i know that basically it is, since i don't believe in god, but i do believe in what some consider to be the son of god if that changes anything..

The Messiah was fully divine, and is the one bringing Salvation to every man who will recieve it! However it is a package deal. He can only give you His righteousness if you are willing to give Him your sins. Sounds a bit strange, but that is how it works. (His name was YAHOSHUA, and in Exodus 23:13 He very clearly told us not to use the names of heathen gods)

I think I understand what you are trying to convey. Maybe it's the definition of "God" that is giving you trouble. "God" is hard for me to wrap my head around, too. The way religion or the Bible has defined "God" (i.e. the Father, or the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) IS a difficult concept. Or the Creator, Spirit only, not male, not female, or God is Love, or reconciling the "God" of the Old Testament with the "God"of the New Testament. The "faceless" God that loves us but judges us so harshly and punishes us for eternity. It's very troubling. I just define Jesus as "God made flesh" and try to understand it all that way and pay attention and try to follow the teachings of Jesus because they make more sense to me.

I'm not sure but I think an athiest is someone who does not believe in God and an agnostic is someone who is unsure if there is a God. You sound like your are impressed with Jesus message, as anyone would be if they really pondered it. I think that is great and don't let others belittle you for that. Keep searching and you will find your answer.

If you don't believe in God, you don't understand at all what Jesus wanted from us. The biggest thing Jesus wants with us is a relationship. The rest grows out of that. You can do all the good deeds you want, but you will still be empty. There is a place that only Jesus and God can fill. He created us that way. Until He is in that place, you cannot be happy.

I encourage you to keep seeking, to find out if God is real; if you can have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Seek Him from your heart. That is the greatest gift in the world...that the creator of the world cares about you personally and wants to be in a relationship with you.

Jesus was a revolutionary first- he stood up to the traditions and politics of the time. Constantine wrote him into the bible. Jesus was like Ghandi, Buddha (Zaratustha), and many other revolutionary speakers of peace and love.
He even stated not to worship nor idolize any God- shame the church saw profit in doing the opposite!

Atheists don't believe in any God.
Agnostics don't think about a God- they'll wait till they die to find out- like the rest but with no belief in any organised religion.

You say you don't believe in god but believe in Jesus' teachings. I don't think you can make Jesus' teachings stand on there own two feet without God any more than a man can stand up without a skeleton.
You may want to think things through a little further.

How can you know that you do not know something?
Oh you could be pretty sure that you don't know someones name.
But to know that you don't know that there is a cause for life and that cause is in you and can communicate through you. well maybe you haven't asked the questions with the proper desire, or you haven't hit your bottom which is when it usually happens
It sounds like an emotional reaction to me.
You may have had some trauma in this area..

Jesus was never about salvation. He was about enlightenment. The church taught salvation because it controlled the masses and collected their money.
