By chance, do you mean "dopamine"?

It's a neurotransmitter that is thought to play some role in depression. (as well as a lot of other things)

UM< I don't think you spelled this correct but you probably heard it wrong. Anyway it is a chemical in the brain dopamine, norepenephrine, and serotonin are all happy chemicals, if yours is low you won't be happy. Generally doctors prescribe one drug and see how you tolerate it and then add another. Depression is hereditary and situational. You can search for all these chemicals and the medications prescribed to restore them.
