I have a power window problem. I put the window down on the driver's side and now it won't come up, as a matter of fact, all 4 of the windows are inoperable. I checked the fuses under the dash and they all look good. What else can I do?

If all the windows became inoperative at the same time, and individual switches don't work either, the problem is at the driver's door. All window power goes to the master cut off switch on the driver's control panel before returning to each door. I will bet you dollars for donuts that it quit after you got out of your car with your window down. The problem lies inside the rubber goose neck that is found at the front of the door, between the door, fender and a post. Carefully pull the rubber accordion back and tug on each wire. You will find at least 1 wire broken inside. This is caused by the constant flexing of the wires every time the door opens and closes. Just strip the wire ends and join them together with a butt connector.

It sounds like there is an open circuit in the master control switch somewhere. Did this occur just now? When you say that all four windows are inoperative, I assume you mean that all will neither go up, or down? How about the window lock feature from the master control? Is it ON or OFF? Do the other windows work from their own dedicated switch?
