Quick question: What is a cat's natural skin color? Is it like white or can it be different colors?

Each cat/breed is different. White, pink, tan, brown, black would all be normal colors.

When a cat scratches, most likely the area on the skin will be infected, thats why it swells up. Cats use their claws in the kitty litter and thats where the infection is coming from. When you get a scratch you must wash the area right away and then disinfect it with iodine or some other disinfectant from your drug store. Also another thing you can do is get the kitty claws trimmed so the damage is not so severe.
