I think she feels that she is losing a close friendship because you can't deal with your feelings. And that causes a bit of resentment. She just wants to be able to continue your friendship without dealing with the complications.
But that's life - it's complicated. She's just going to have to deal with it, because, whatever your feelings are, you have a right to them.
I think you've dealt with her honestly and up front. Try to continue to have a good attitude about it, and I think things will work out. It's essential that you don't try to use the possible loss of the friendship to get her to agree to more.

You can't be friends with someone you are really attracted to, who doesn't like you back. It wouldn't be fair to you, or her. But if you choose to be around her, just act like a friend then, maybe even less than a friend. Don't overanalyze every move she makes if you know she isn't attracted to you, or she will be too uncomfortable to be around you for fear of you repeatedly thinking there is a chance. The no contact thing was probably good- move on.* Good luck!

I think that you are a bit full of yourself. From what YOU have posted I gather that all she ever wanted from you was frienship. You on the other hand seemed to have blown it all out of porportion and seem to think that because YOU needed time that she was hurt/mad. Obviously such was NOT the case. She still considered YOU a friend although YOU obviously couldn't understand how she couldn't be crushed by your non-communication. SURPRISE the world doesn't revolve around you...the reason she needed a hub from someone else is because she wanted a hug from HIM, it had nothing to do with YOU. Get over yourself you're obviously NOT the god's gift to women that you think you are.

As women, we hate especially to let any man know he's gotten to us(hurt us) especially if we wanted him to be a serious part of our lives. Give it time. After the roadtrip, more should be known about how she wants things to go. Wish you the best.

Look, you don't have to make this more complicated than it has to be. If you think you could be JUST friends with her, than let her know that is the only thing you are willing to be. If you do love her, let her know that. If she is okay with either situation, and I mean REALLY okay with it, than resume a relationship. If neither one of you can agree, than cut off all contact, FOREVER. The psychological pain is not worth it!
