The kids are wanting to go on a trip this summer and we are looking for different ways for them to raise some money to go. This is always a great thing for the youth as well as the adults. If anyone has any ideas please let me know . This is such a blessing for us all and really gets the kids involded in helping others. Thanks !

Our church used to have a huge garage sale once a year. We added a baked goods booth and a car wash most years. Proceeds from that went to help pay for camp fees. There were a few years that camp was almost totally paid for.

Car Wash- if you do a car wash, write free car wash on the signs and ask for donations during the wash.

Rock a thon- You can have an overnight rock a thon where people pledge money for your kids to rock all night. Its fun for the kids and you can raise a lot of money. (actually any ___ a thons work real well)

Bake sale- have your kids pair up with mom and have a bake sale, you can have it at a function together like with the car wash

Talent show/spagetti dinner- Try to get as much donated food as possible, but have some kind of entertainment for people who come for a dinner your kids make. One time we raised over 1000 dollars doing this...

I dont recommend candy bars or selling magazines the return on it isnt worth all the work you put into it... Hope some of those ideas help...

Our youth group has bake sales, car washes and sometimes they'll cook a spaghetti dinner and sell tickets to the church. They'll announce it about three weeks before. Two weeks before they'll collect the names and money from those who are going to attend. Then on the Sunday of the dinner they cook it in the church kitchen and everyone who purchased a ticket goes down after church service and eats. Also, sometimes the church takes of a donation to help defray the costs of the trip.

Instead of selling things nobody wants at high prices, contact a Independent Professional Wrestling promotion. They can help you raise more money in one night than all those sales and pancake breakfasts combined. The kids would have fun, people enjoy themselves, and the organizations make money. E-Mail wrestlerdtb@hotmail.com if you can't find an organization near you.

Do you think you could get some items donated for a raffle? See if anyone in the church has connections with some of the local businesses - - - - maybe you could get a TV donated, or $500.00 worth of groceries from a grocery store, a lawnmower or something like that. Maybe some of the older ladies of the church would donate a handmade quilt or afghan.

Bake sale by donations always gets more money
Dinners
servant auction (you have each members of the congeration bid on each servant for a couple of hours and the students do work for the highest bidder)
Support letters
Bake sales also at stores (Sam's club, Krogers, etc.)

Our cub scout pack sells dutch mill bulbs. They are $5 per pack and guaranteed to grow. the profit split is 50/50 and they were really easy to sell. They ship at the proper time for planting in your area. We were really pleased with this program.
