people tell me i can sing.. i am in chior.. my teacher tells me i sing beautiful.. but sometimes i dont think so.. how can i really tell? what if they are lying? is there anything i can do? what if i go out for a solo and i suck?!?!

Try singing in front of a mirror, by yourself. It sounds goofy, but you get the chance to both hear and see yourself perform. This can be a tricky area to judge because we can be too hard on ourselves even when it isn't true.
If your teacher has had plenty of experience, then trust his/her judgment. And you do take a risk when trying out for a solo - but that might help you, too.
See if you can try out for something, like a singing audition. Then go on the feedback you get.

Try recording your voice and play it back. I sound sort of flat when I sing without music, but if I just practice it until I get it right without music, than I sound even better with music. Just concentrate on hitting the right notes. If your teacher says you sing good she's probably right. Good luck.

When i'm singing, I like what I hear.
When I listen to it back on a recording, i'm not crazy about how I sound.
So, if you're in a choir, and your teacher thinks you sound good,, I wouldn't worry.
If you couldn't sing, you wouldn't be in the choir.

I cover one of my ears when I sing. I can hear it much better for some reason. It's weird, but it works for me. Then you can determine if you like the sound or not. And trust your choir teacher!!

sing a song alone and feel ur voice if it sucks it sucks just hear ur own voice coz its urs
