Did they check for tumors in his nose, or something? I'd take him to a different vet, some are really bad. Make sure to get a copy of the paper work for his bloodwork, so you can show the new vet what it ISN'T and not have to pay twice.

Bubbles coming out of your pets nose are usually pretty serious. You should take him for a second opinion to another vet. Do as others suggested and make sure they try to look in the nose - they may need to anesthetize him for this, or even take x-rays of the nasal passages to look for tumors in the nose. Could also be an upper respiratory infection, or pneumonia. You need x-rays to help diagnose it.

Another cause of bubbles coming out of the nose is heart failure, with fluid in the lungs. This is an EMERGENCY!! If your pup is truly having trouble breathing, with clear bubbles coming out of the nose, take it to the emergency vet RIGHT NOW.

Make it easier to breathe for him- maybe a vaporizer in the room. If he is panting he's breathing. The vet should have checked inside his nose to see if there, perhaps, was a blockage such as a growth or something he may have sniffed up like a small piece of plastic or a bead. Try to keep him comfy and ask the vet to please look inside the poor puppy's nose.

Don't put him to sleep, what an idiot.

Get a second opinion, take the dog to another Vet. Let the Vet recommend what needs to be done.
