I don't believe she was ever on the cooking channel. She had her own show but I am almost sure it is not still on. I think she would come on the same channel that the man with who use to paint really good pictures in like an hour would come on. I believe I remember her to be very tall.
Anyone have any idea?>

Julia Child. She was one of the first women to ever introduce French cooking into the home. She was on PBS and she passed away a few years ago. There's a food and wine center in Napa called Copia which has replicated her entire kitchen from the shows.
