I answered this three days ago - at least people are saying no this time!
Acne is laden with bacteria that the tattoo needle will scatter throughout the tattoo. Why risk an infection? Heal the acne completely first. Professional artists will only work on intact skin.

I don't think that a tattoo would be good over acne. There is some type of makeup that covers up acne though. It's called Dermablend.

i have actually done that...it hurts like a ***** over those scars and the artist may have a hard time getting good lines. in that case he'll have to go over it again. But if covering scars is what u want to do and can take more pain than what usually comes with a tattoo, then go for. it'll get covered up but u'll still have that puffy skin under it.

why dont you at least try to get rid of your acne first....like proactive or something....
a tattoo over all the acne would be really gross. and it would hurt. A LOT.

If you have active acne, it needs to be dealt with before getting a tatoo...doesn't make sense to put ink into something that will eventually dissolve or burst. As far as getting a tatoo over scarring, I've seen that done on TV.

You should think twice before doing this. If you take any disease from tattoo your acne would become worse...Choose a different part of your body.
