Why would someone be banned from eating them as part of a breakfast?

My husband can not eat potatoes because of kidney problems. He is not allowed to eat very much potassium and potatoes are a great source of potassium. He is also not allowed to eat sodium and hash browns only taste good with salt.

Some people don't think that an American Hash brown has any place in a full English! Personally I like them!

That sounds like a sin. Being banned from eating hash browns... a complete sin

I dont know. Maybe if the person is on a low-carb diet, then they shouldnt eat hash browns.
