To those who believe in a literal war in Heaven How would that work?

Question

They can't be killed up in Heaven because they are already in the
afterlife. I imagine it'd be a bit like playing a video game where
everyone has invincibility and no one dies,it'd be stupid because
nothing would be accomplished.

I'm an Atheist by the way.

If god is omnipotent, why would he not just blink and destroy all opposition in the war? Does god like dramatics? The whole religion is poorly thought out. The idea of god is poorly thought out.

You are mistaken. In the heavenly realm this is no time like we have here on earth so there would be no after life.. The afterlife is a term which is associated with living on the earth. Yes, spirits are eternal and can never die, but they can be brought into subjection. Why? Because God is all powerful and everything which exists is subject to His word even demonic forces. Read Revelations. God has prepared a lake of fire for the devil and his angels. They are going into whether they like it or not and they can not do anything about it. Because God is King overall. So no rebellious spirits will be running around loose.

Well I couldn't have guessed the athiest part. But the war in Heaven was a spiritual war, a revolt of angels against their creator. Their simple defiance and disregard of God was the war and the fact that they chose to follow Satan against their Master and Creator. I'm going to Heaven one day, but until I get there I can't tell you what it's like. I guess you better pick up a certain "book" and get to reading, maybe one day you'll see too.
