Real question is why do you blame it on God? Without free will to make choices we would be robots and not human. All this suffering and what goes with it is a choice made by mankind. The leaders of this world in part are to blame for poor Governing. Without corruption Africa would not be in the state it is today or anyother nation for that matter. Look! take a look at who was dictating right up until the issue of Nelson Mandela? Who? thats right and I'm glad to say he ain't my God but he cause all that suffering through what is called greed, until he made a mistake of putting Nelson in to prison. And look at Nelson........through ONE man how much as been changed?...Governments have a big role to play but so does the church congrations.. say my home town income is about 4 million, simple math translates to 10% as being 400,000 yet church tithes and offer is at about 60,000 this tells me disobedience leads to suffering in many ways. But if everyone who claims to be Christains obey accordingly there would not be a need for me to support families I've not known, on other hand if everyone in world gave back 10% as God had asked there would not need be room for such suffering. So is God real? understanding that he did indeed out of love gave us a free will to make choice makes God more real each pasting day.

Maybe you need to lose the idea of God Almighty and look at God's one example on earth: the love and death of Jesus, who died for our sins. People suffer because God gave us free will. The only other alternative was to be puppets of God with no will of our own. I much prefer my free will, no matter what the cost.
So you equate 'fortunate' with being 'God's favorite'. Its written that American's were most happy during the Depression (ironic?) and have become increasingly depressed through the years. Eastern European and African countries are sending missionaries to the Spiritually lacking US and western Europe.
I don't think its fair to say that God doesn't care. Although the west is wealthy (and depressed because of it) they can't realize the joy of giving. People don't care. Just have faith that God is with you, even when its hard to feel it. I'm sorry I can't give a better answer.

God does care. ALLOWING something to happen is much different than CAUSING it to happen.
God has promised a time that is coming soon when the wicked will be destroyed. Please read in your Bible Psalm 37:9-11. Jeremiah chapter 25:31-33 talks about the judgement to come when the wicked earth-wide will be judged.
Servants of God in the past had the same questions you do...in Habakkuk 1:2-4 he asked " 2 How long, O Jehovah, must I cry for help, but you do not hear?+
How long must I ask for help from violence, but you do not intervene?*+
3 Why do you make me witness wrongdoing?
And why do you tolerate oppression?
Why are destruction and violence before me?
And why do quarreling and conflict abound?
4 So law is paralyzed,
And justice is never carried out.
For the wicked surround the righteous;
That is why justice is perverted.+"
God answered him:
"For the vision is yet for its appointed time,
And it is rushing toward its end,* and it will not lie.
Even if it should delay,* keep in expectation of it!*+
For it will without fail come true.
It will not be late!" - Habakkuk 2:3
The Bible calls this time period "the last days". The greatest Bible preaching and teaching campaign ever on earth is taking place now, and God is gathering his people.
You should seriously ask one of Jehovah's Witnesses for a Bible Study. The Bible has answers that can help you with your sincere questions. Best regards.

I can understand why you feel that way. But remember God doesn't predestine us. He chose Saul to lead the nation and he later got power hungry and sinned. Time only goes on way and until it gets here we don't know what is going to happen.
God Chose Solomon who in the end he rejected, because of false worship. We are doing what we wanted to do. We said, that we want to rule ourselves and so far it isn't working.
No one race has all the problems. There is a multitude of races in these european and Usa countries. There is some places in the world where people fight. Some areas in Africa is lush and beautiful where people live very well. There is some areas where they are starving. In every country. Soon God is going to destroy the wicked and bring peace to the earth.
Bring about fairness. The devil has been proven a liar that man cannot rule himself. We do need God.
There is pedofiles, rapists, murders, and thieves in every country that is why every country has prisons. Some children in gettos go hungry and have few clothes and even become street people.

God loves each and every one of His children. Jesus came that we might have life, offering Himself for the redemption and salvation of all men. We do have free will and many choose to sin and reject the message given to us through Jesus Christ. Our sins not only hurt us, they also hurt others and this is evident in the world today. As to the suffering, did anyone ever suffer as much as Jesus during his time here on earth? He never said we would not suffer..but we are to take up our cross daily and follow him and we will have life eternal with him in heaven. We will suffer but we are called to love each other as He first loved us. If every single person were to use his free will and choose that which is the way Jesus taught us, the world could change..one person at a time. There is nothing so powerful here on earth as the Love of God, peace in our hearts, and a willingness to treat all others with respect and dignity, putting aside all the pride, sin, selfishness and learning to see Jesus in all our brothers and sisters and acting accordingly. God Bless us one and all..

We live in a fallen sinful world. God gave us free choice and WE messed it up big time. That is why there is now things like AIDS and cancer in this world. That is why people suffer and die. God does care and that is why Jesus came down in human form and suffered on the cross for us. I suggest watching The Passion Of The Christ and after that telling me he didn't care. We have a way to be made new creatures which will help us endure this time on this Earth. After this time on Earth then we'll spend eternity in Heaven. Eternity is a long time compared to our years on Earth. It's time we become eternal minded instead of so Earthly minded.

OK, without mentioning the power that satan has on this world ;). God cares, know that please. Repeat it over and over. There is a European power that has been very busy throughout history, they are now scattered about the whole earth. They want to rule and control everyone who is not like them. They decorate their actions nicely so we won't notice unless we look real hard, but their viciousness has shown it's ugly desires at different times in history. People are sad, obsessed and becoming violent. In this world it has become every man for himself. Look to God for protection from all that is bad in this world. He did not cause it, and He will rescue us from it.

God has nothing to do with man's free will. Everything you explained is a result of free will....not God. Sad to say, white people are wealthier of the races because they got a head start, while many other races were being held as slaves. Evil people are not born evil, they are made that way. It's all about environment and free will. I, personally, believe there is no God, but I will not push my beliefs onto you. I'm just saying that God has no say in man's free will, no matter how evil man's deeds are.

I can understand why you feel the way you feel. But, like so many other things in life, you have to go back to the beginning to understand the ending. Looking in the Bible at the first few chapters we can tell that God cares for humans because of all the wonderful things he gave man. God did not create us to suffer but to be happy. The question is what changed?

God/dess has given us the capacity to do good or evil. People, for various reasons, make bad choices. We have children, love them, try to teach them to lead a good life, but despite our best efforts it doesn't always work, we can't control them. I think its the same way with diety.
As far as God/dess playing favorites- I don't think so. Someone had to be 'on top.' Of course, our rather violent history did help out with that a bit...
