Yes, the first Christians were Jews, although by the middle of the first century there were a fair number of non-Jewish Christians in present day Greece and Asia Minor.

The early Jewish Christians (especially in Jerusalem) worshipped and taught at the temple, and saw themselves very much as Jewish. The gentile Christians were also heavily influenced by Graeco-Roman ideas. Following the destruction of the temple in 70 CE, mainstream Judaism became more distinct from the Christian sects.

The first christians WERE in fact, Jews that took up the teachings of Jesus, which made sense since the Jews were the ones that those tachings were intended for. Jesus himself was Jewish, most people forget that.

The reaon it is so different now is that so many people that are not of Jewish descent hav beomc Christians and that has weakened the integrity of the belief system as a whole. It has been, tainted by outside ideas and influences in order to be accepted by other cultures and peoples. The ONLY way the religion can survive is to return to those original teachings and divest itself of all the thigns that have infiltrated and diluted those teachings over the last 2000 years. To cast out all those who are not of the bloodline and return to being the religion of those Jews who have taken up to worship of Jesus and no one else.

Many of the first Christians were Jews. Jesus was a Jew along with Paul and many others from the New Testament Bible. There still are Jewish Christians. I have a friend in Israel that works with many of them. There are also groups such as Jews For Jesus. The problem is that many Jews reject the Messiah that the Old Testament foretold. Jesus fulfilled many prophecies (all regarding him) but because for various reasons they still reject him.

Not all Jews. Only those Jews who followed Christ' teachings and the Old Testament. Then Christian-Judeo tandem ceased to exist when Rome started injecting other types of religious doctrine that differs from the Old Testament.

The easy answer is that the Christian faith has been changed many times over the years to fit the social norms of the people the missionaries were trying to convert.
True, in the begining of the faith, Jesus was just thought of as a radical rabbbi, not a starter of a new religion or son of God. But that didn't sell to the Romans who they wanted to convert so the Council of Nicea changed it to be more palatible. Out with the dietary rules, circumsision, and other Old Testament laws (even though Christ said he "came not to change the law").
This type of thing happened many times later (in smaller steps). So Christianity really isn't anything like what it started out as.

No because the term christian means a follower of Jesus Christ, Jews believe that Christ was just a man. Where Christians believe that Jesus was the son of god. Christians would be Jews if Christ hadn't appeared. I don't believe any of it anyways...
