It just makes it wavy, a body wave is big waves throughout your whole head.

Body waves are meant for just that....body. The wave you get won't necessarily be what you'd want if you're looking for a wavy look...that's more of a loose perm (you'd need tighter rollers than with a body wave). Body waves are generally meant for people with thin or lifeless hair - it helps their hair hold a style better.

it increases the volume of your hair, makign it less flat and giving it a slight wave not curly
