at 17, you must be a HighSchool graduate AND have signed permission from all adult parents/guardians. there is no way around this.
At 18, you no longer need permission from your parents or guardians, but you still need to be a HS graduate, as only a very small number of GEDs are accepted each year.

Best bet is to finish school. If you haven't already taken the ASVAB, then get on the ball and get it done. Finishing high school is very important in today's Armed Forces. Hopefully, after you are done with high school, and 18, you'll get into the Marines. The Armed Forces is a great life path for everyone.
Those Basics of Finishing School and of the ASVAB can and will change your life.

Well, I can tell you how it works in the army; pretty sure the same applies for the marines as well. First thing, when you see a recruiter your guardian will have to sign and authorize that you join the armed forces. Next, you can attend basic training before you finish high school. Normally, this will be during the summertime. Once you complete basic training you will return home to finish highschool. Upon graduation you will report to your AIT or job training.

Finish your school. During your personal time make an effort to study the asvab. Go online and research various occupations you may find interesting. Learn about them, how well do they transition to the civilian sector, how much do they pay outside the military, benefits, etc. As far as being a Marine, inquire about promotion potential for those particular occupations, the length of training, potential bonuses, probable location assignments, etc. In my experience, I have noticed that the jobs that are higher pay outside and offer more bonuses inside were the ones that were hard to fill.
For example, you have pvt joe snuff, cpl whatever along with their squad leader, sgt vigilance who can fire a certain weapon system, but only a "pvt smart moves" can repair it. On top of that, that particular weapon system is only used in Italy. So for several yrs, "Pvt smart moves" gets to taste Italian fish and send letters back to his buddies about it.When "pvt smart moves" gets his honorable discharge, he shows up for a job interview at blackwater. the job payes 80,000. There he sees his former Marine buddies interviewing for the same job. The position is for "XXX" Weapon System mechanic. Who do you think will get the job? Weapons mech is a very basic occupation and very common/low demand. It's just an example to help you decide what job to select, why and how to qualify yourself for the offer.
For you to have a shot at the high demand jobs you must score high on the asvab. High scores on the asvab help predict better bonuses, promotion potential, great duty assignments and schools, easy transition with good pay and benefits.Study. You'll be thankful you did when you come home home from working at the office with a high figure salary and a hot Italian MILF wife greets you at the door.

See your local Marine recruiter.
They have programs of early enlistment, even when you are in school. My son joined the Army Reserves in his senior year.4

Why should you have to join right now. Finish school first then join, you'll make a better soldier.

While you may wish to be cannon fodder, finish school. You may come out alive and will need your education to continue after your adventure.
