Well my mom was a big health hut. When I was a little kid I liked candy and junk food but my mom influenced me so much and i became fascinated with how the body reacts so positively to foods and also I was so used to eating natural foods that I just couldnt go back to the junk. To me since I never ate it stuff like sugar just tasted too sickening to me and had a nasty aftertaste and made me feel like crap. I started getting really into probably when I was 12. Im 16 now and im gonna stay a health FrEaK. Oh yes and when I saw how other unhealthy Americans were too.

being a health nut doesnot equal beingoverweight or even healthy. A lot of people are mislead by lables and words like light, fat free etc. These products are worse for you then those with said ingrediants.
I lead a semi organic lifestyle. I eat meat and seafood but no chicken or pork. rest of my food products are organic.
it has more to do with wanting less chemicals in my body than anything else.

Eating healthy has made feel so much better and have more energy. I stopped eating at fast foods, and stopped drinking soda, coffee and tea. I just love home cooked food that is fresh and full of nutrients I love. I get to put all the herbs I like on the food I eat.

When I saw how the typical american diet makes us fat, sick, lazy & crazy.
Mother Nature's foods pure and whole, for a reason, to give us health. We were not meant to chemicalize, pulverize, strip and destroy these foods, nor eat manmade chemical "foods".
Natural whole foods are the way to go. the reason we "crave" even after eating is because the foods weren't whole, we crave more because part of it is missing...... like in white flour & sugar products, the good stuff is gone so we tend to overeat trying to make up for what's missing, and the chemical "nutrients" they add to it isn't what we need. We end up fat, sick, and unhealthy.

When I graduated college last year and I had gained about 22lbs. I decided I wasn't going to put my body through the yo-yo dieting. I started making smarter choices and exercising. I lost the weight in about 6 months. I still have the occasional splurge, but I don't binge like I used to.

Last year. Started a weight loss diet, then decided to start running, and then I really saw a corelation between what I ate and how I performed. Started to cut out the processed foods in favor of homemade and it made a huge difference in my personal athletic performance.

I grew up in a house that regularly cooked healthy food, so it stuck with em for life. I do eat junk food, but nothing beats a nice home cooked healthy meal. Its all how you're raised.
