i just want a guy to hang out and who can make me laugh even if it is stupid. i'm 16 and 5'2 red hair and every thing above the sun. i want a guty to respect me how can i get a guy to do so?

DO you have a male friend that makes you feel this way but you dont like him as a boyfriend type thing. If so maybe you should start looking at him. Sometimes our closest friends become our long life partners. Or you could some see me but then I would be in prison becasue I am much older than you. Have a great life girl someone will come along.

Respect & humor are two different things.
I have a man who makes me laugh. So many others just don't "get him", but I do, & he appreciates that. It makes his comments all the more funny when he says something jokingly & his peers just look quizically at him.
At your age, it will be more difficult to find those kinds of guys as they are still learning about themselves. But keep your ears open, you'll find them.
As far as respect, you have to respect yourself before anyone will respect you. It doesn't make any difference whether you're a redhead (I am too) or have "everything under the sun".
Maybe that's part of the problem. You're trying too hard to show everyone your worth when you don't think you have anything else to offer.
At 16, you need to study hard, get a good education. Learn to be a friend; kind & compassionate to others. Learn how to carry on a conversation; have manners.
When the time comes, you'll be beating them off with a stick.
