I've filed my taxes around Jan 15th and I've gotten an correspondent audit on my states but quickly fixed my states (wrong information). Now that I've got my states, I still haven't received my federal returns yet. The mistake i made on my states was that i put too much state credit on my 1040's (i did this on taxact.com). Do you think I made the same mistake on my federals but the IRS haven't sent my audit letter yet or something else?

If you used any computer program, the number you put on the state return is probably the some as the number you put on the federal return. You should be able to review your return in the program. However, the IRS usually does not catch this type or error until after refunds are processed. Your return was more likely delayed for the same reason as thousands of others. They have had a number of computer glitches this year. I recommend calling the IRS and asking if you should file a 1040X (amended tax return) now or wait until the original refund is processed.
